Here's a thought experiment of sorts. Write down everything you know about Subaru vehicles. Go on. We'll wait. Done? Good. Now find a lighter and set fire to the paper, because the 2019 Subaru BRZ will upend everything you think you know about the Subaru brand - and it'll do it in a way that leaves you happier than you ever thought possible.
2019 Subaru BRZ Details
Let's start with what you won't find here. There's no all-wheel drive. There's hardly any rear-seat space. You won't find high seating, cargo space is cramped, luxury appointments are limited, and anything extraneous has been mercilessly eradicated.
What you will find: a 2.0 liter four-cylinder boxer engine that keeps the center of gravity low, the horsepower ample, and the torque plentiful. The base Premium trim comes with a manual transmission. Can't drive a stick? Learn. In return, you'll be rewarded with a feeling of connection to the car, as well as more torque and horsepower; it's also the only way to get the Performance Package, with its Brembo brakes, Sachs shocks, and black alloy wheels. The automatic transmission can only be had on the Limited trim.

2019 Subaru BRZ Safety and Special Features
The 2019 Subaru BRZ differs from other new Subaru vehicles in another way as well: you won't find Subaru EyeSight active safety features. So please drive carefully!
That's not to say you won't find any tech, or that it's limited to items like the twin tailpipes, spoiler, and Torsen limited-slip differential. The Premium has the 6.2-inch version of the Starlink infotainment system, while the Limited tacks on the seven-inch version (which supports Apple CarPlayâ„¢ and Android Autoâ„¢), Alcantara and leather, a security system, and some other goodies. The Gillman Subaru San Antonio team will help you get acquainted.
Buying a 2019 Subaru BRZ near San Antonio, TX
Little though it may be, the 2019 Subaru BRZ is a lot of car. It won't be to everyone's taste (some of us need the room in a Subaru Ascent), but if you want to be reminded of how fun it can be to drive for its own sake, visit your San Antonio area Subaru dealership, here at 16048 Interstate 35 North in Selma, TX.
