The 2026 Subaru Solterra at Gillman Subaru San Antonio

2026 Subaru Solterra

Showing off a refreshed front fascia and new rear lighting and badging, the 2026 Subaru Solterra is more eye-catching than its predecessor. With faster charging times and a greater driving range, the all-electric SUV is also more practical than the outgoing model. Contact Gillman Subaru San Antonio to learn when the much-anticipated EV will arrive at our location.

Driving Range and Charging Time

Every Subaru Solterra has two electric motors and an all-wheel drive system that's been improved from last year's system. Total system output for all but the Subaru Solterra XT trim is 233 horsepower. The new Subaru Solterra XT has more powerful electric motors, which bump its output to 338 horsepower. That's enough power for the Subaru Solterra XT to reach 60 mph from a standstill in less than five seconds.

If the Subaru EV is fully charged, it can now travel more than 285 miles, which is a 25 percent increase in distance over the outgoing model. The SUV now has an NACS port, allowing you to recharge at Supercharger stations for the first time. While you can recharge the SUV with a 120- or 240-volt outlet, the quickest way to "refuel" is to use a DC Fast Charger. Using a Level 3 Charger enables the SUV to recharge in about 30 minutes.

Technology Features

State-of-the-art technology features are standard for new Subaru SUVs, including the Subaru Solterra. The revised version of the SUV replaces its former eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with a 14-inch touchscreen. Wireless charging is now standard for both drivers and front-row passengers. Features that include wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity and Bluetooth® integration carry over from the outgoing electric SUV.

Active Safety Equipment

Subaru SUVs are renowned for being safe, and that's partly due to their laudable advanced safety and driver-assistive features. A driver attention monitor is standard for the Subaru Solterra, and it will issue an alert if you're too fatigued or distracted to drive safely. The EV's other safety features include:

  • Front and rear cross-traffic alerts
  • Blind-spot monitor
  • Forward collision warning and intervention system
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Evasive-steering assist
