That's why, it is with great pride, that we'd like to announce that we are the title sponsor for Homes For Pets's 14th Annual "Doggie Dash." As avid animal lovers, this is an event that is very near and dear to our collective heart.
Located in neighboring Schertz, TX, Homes For Pets's mission statement is an important one: to facilitate animal rescue and community education throughout the region. And for years now, the "Doggie Dash" has been an integral part of that process. We're definitely looking forward to the next one, which is slated to occur on Saturday, May 16, 2015. The event will kick off promptly at 8 a.m. with an awards ceremony to follow at 9:30 a.m. We'll also note that the theme for this year is "Super Hero/Super Friend." That's right, it's time to dress your four-legged companion as your favorite caped crusader. Whether it's Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman or Scooby Doo, characters of all shapes and sizes are welcome!
Finally, we'll mention this: for the very first time, we're having a Doggie Dash after party! We'll convene at the Blue Bonnet Palace, right here in Selma, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00. There'll be food, drinks, dancing and even a silent auction! Admission is $20.00, but you can receive a $10.00 discount if you bring your personalized 2015 Doggie Dash race and/or walk number. This after party is sure to be a blast and, as such, is absolutely not to be missed.
