Although we have come a long way since the first rickety, slow moving cars, driving is still considered a dangerous activity. While the odds of you being involved in an accident are very low, automakers should still plan for the worst when producing a car. Subaru understands that the safety of everyone who takes a seat in any their cars is the top priority, and has designed their vehicles to be the safest options on the road.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recognized Subaru with 6 IIHS top safety picks. This includes the Forester, Outback, Legacy, Impreza, WRX, and XV Crosstrek. If that wasn't impressive enough, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has also recognized Subaru as the only manufacturer with a Top Safety Pick winner for all models for the fourth consecutive year!

But Subaru isn't happy simply reproducing the same safety features each year. They consistently try to improve their designs and manufacture new technologies to help prevent crashes before they happen. This is how the the Subaru EyeSight came to be. The system involves two cameras that are mounted by the rearview mirror to monitor traffic and react to conditions even before you do. Basically, EyeSight sees the problem and initiates action to help avoid the trouble. EyeSight will also sound an alert and flash a visual warning if there's danger of a collision and will apply the brakes automatically if you don't. All of these aspects go into every car that Subaru produces. That is because safety is what makes a Subaru, a Subaru.
